Image Converter
Choose one image or a whole batch, pick JPG, PNG or WebP, and download the converted files. The conversion is done by your own browser, so photos and scans are never uploaded — and there is no daily limit or watermark.
92 looks identical to the original
Choose images, pick a format and press Convert.
How to use this tool
- Choose your images. You can select several at once and add more later.
- Pick the format to convert to: JPG for photos and forms, PNG to keep transparency, WebP for small files on websites.
- For JPG, choose the quality (92 looks the same as the original) and the colour that should replace transparent areas.
- Press Convert, then download each file, or press Download all.
Notes and limitations
- Images are decoded and re-encoded by your browser’s canvas. They are not uploaded, and nothing is kept once the tab closes.
- Which formats can be opened depends on your browser. JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF and BMP open everywhere; AVIF in current browsers; HEIC — the iPhone’s format — only in Safari on an iPhone, iPad or Mac.
- JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white or black. Choose PNG or WebP to keep them.
- Only the first frame of an animated GIF or WebP is converted.
- Conversion removes metadata such as camera details and GPS location, which is often a privacy benefit when sharing photos.
- Converting to PNG from a photo makes a much larger file, because PNG is lossless. To make files smaller instead, use the image compressor.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert WebP to JPG?
Choose the WebP files, keep “JPG” selected and press Convert. Each file is saved with the same name and a .jpg extension.
Can I convert HEIC photos from my iPhone?
Yes, in Safari on the iPhone, iPad or Mac, which can open HEIC. Chrome and Edge on Windows and Android cannot, and the tool says so. Alternatively, set the iPhone’s Camera › Formats to Most Compatible to take JPG photos in future.
Does converting reduce quality?
PNG is lossless. JPG and WebP at quality 92 are visually identical to the source for photos. Converting the same JPG again and again does lose a little each time, so convert from the original.
Is there a limit on the number of files?
No limit is set by the site. Images are converted one at a time to spare your device’s memory, so a large batch simply takes a little longer.
